Learn About the Congressional What Works Caucus

The bipartisan Congressional What Works Caucus is an official caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives, co-chaired by Reps. Greg Landsman (D-OH), Rudy Yakym (R-IN), Brittany Pettersen (D-CO) and Blake Moore (R-UT). The Caucus brings together members of Congress to help ensure that the federal government builds and uses evidence and data to shift federal dollars toward what works. The Caucus is founded on the belief that if federal policies and legislation are grounded in and prioritize evidence and data, we can make better decisions and faster progress on our toughest challenges.

Caucus Mission

The Caucus advances evidence- and data-driven policymaking by supporting federal legislation and appropriations requests that prioritize evidence of effectiveness, support innovation to build the evidence base, and strengthen state and local capacity to use data. The Caucus equips Members of Congress and their staff with technical assistance, materials, and expert engagement to integrate evidence and data provisions in legislation. Contact Nikky Garaga ([email protected]) in the office of Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-CO) to join.
