On January 25–27, Results for America participated in the 2017 Winter Innovation Summit held annually in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Summit convened hundreds of thought leaders, policymakers, funders, nonprofits, social entrepreneurs, and academics from around the world to discuss key themes including; social impact financing, the role of data and evidence, impact investing, public-private partnerships, impact measurement, and research-based best practices in social services. During the Summit, Results for America presented four panels:
- Continuing the Data and Evidence Movement at the Federal Level: What Happens Next? with Michelle Jolin (moderator), Ron Haskins, Linda Gibbs, and Robert Doar
- Local Leaders: Innovation, Insight & Inspiration from U.S. Mayors with Simone Brody (moderator), Mayor Bryan Barnett, Mayor Eileen Weir, Former Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and Mayor Stephanie Miner
- Making What Works in Governments and Nonprofits the New Norm with Nichole Dunn (moderator), Tiffany Gueye, Eshauna Smith, Plinio Ayala, Pat Lawler, and Kelly Fitzsimmons
- Social Impact & the Media with Mikaela Beardsley (moderator), Soledad O’Brien, David Bornstein, and Geralyn Dreyfous
