Results for America Supports H.Con.Res.49, the Congressional Evidence-Based Policymaking Resolution

Results for America supports H.Con.Res.49, the Congressional Evidence-Based Policymaking Resolution, which would provide Congress with needed tools to increase the impact of federal investments.

The resolution, co-led by Reps. William Timmons (R-SC), Derek Kilmer (D-WA), David Joyce (R-OH), and Dean Phillips (D-MN), and cosponsored by the members of the bipartisan Congressional What Works Caucus, Rep. Rudy Yakym (R-IN), Rudy, Rep. Blake Moore (R-UT), Rep. Greg Landsman (D-OH),  Rep. Brittany Pettersen (D-CO) aims to incorporate data, outcome measurements, and evidence into the lawmaking process, resulting in legislation that has a greater likelihood to improve outcomes for everyday Americans.

Federal policy that builds and uses evidence has the power to dramatically improve the impact of federal dollars and make faster progress on our toughest challenges. Results for America was an early and strong supporter of the U.S. Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking and the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 and supports this exciting new effort to build on this bipartisan progress.
