WASHINGTON – Results for America (RFA) today released a letter signed by more than 100 local, state and national leaders and organizations calling on the Trump Administration to rescind its reported guidance prohibiting the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from using certain words and phrases – including “evidence-based” and “science-based” – in its FY 2019 budget documents.

The letter was a response to a report in the Washington Post alleging that CDC officials were given a list of “forbidden words” that could not be used by the nation’s top public health agency in official documents being prepared for next year’s budget.
