Sarajean Zocklein is the Homeless and Socioeconomically Disadvantaged (SED) Youth Data Steward in the Analysis, Measurement, and Accountability, Reporting Division, for the California Department of Education (CDE). She provides analysis and subject matter expertise within the department and externally to local educational agencies, stakeholders, and the U.S. Department of Education, regarding data-related educational outcomes of Homeless and SED youth. Before her experience with CDE, Sarajean was a Waldorf Middle School teacher, international outdoor educator, yoga instructor, resident director for the Exploration School at Yale University, and two-time AmeriCorps volunteer. She holds a B.A. in sociology and outdoor leadership from Western Kentucky University, a Waldorf teacher training certificate for grades 1-8, and an M.S. in behavioral science and family studies.
