Ronald Dixon Jr. is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Transformation for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Prior to this role, he was the Executive Director of Secondary Schools in the Rowan-Salisbury School System in North Carolina. Prior to district leadership, Ronald served as a middle and elementary school principal for 9 years and has a total of 22 years in NC public education. His specialty areas are equity & justice, young men’s empowerment, community and faith-based collaboration, and school transformation leadership. He has been recognized for his success in raising student achievement and closing disproportionate discipline gaps in multiple schools by empowering teachers with practical and culturally relevant tools.
