Director of Federal Programs and Strategic Funding, Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE)

Linda Sun currently serves as the Director of Federal Programs and Strategic Funding at the Office of the State Superintendent, D.C.’s state education agency. Her team oversees the administration of several ESSA grants, as well as IDEA and ESSER. Linda started her career in finance and auditing at General Electric before pivoting to teaching. She spent several years teaching secondary math in Nashville and at the Lycée Français de Shanghai. In addition to classroom and state education agency experience, Linda also spent time at the district level in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, leading various projects in the Office of Academics and Transformation as a Broad Resident. Linda holds a B.S. in economics from Northeastern University and an M.Ed from Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was also an active member of the Pan-Asian Coalition for Education.
