Julie Wirt has over 29 years of experience working in various federal social service programs, including child welfare and employment and training, at both the county and state levels. For the past ten years, Julie has worked with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) overseeing WIA program monitoring, implementing WIOA statewide activities, and developing WIDA and other statewide employment and training program (e.g., Wagner-Peyser Employment Services) policies. Most recently, Julie is the Bureau Chief of the Employment and Training Program Management for the Office of Workforce Development, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services overseeing the administration of WIDA employment and training programs. Julie has a Bachelor of Art degree from The Ohio State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Communication.
