Jonathan Isler is the Administrator of the Data Visualization and Reporting Office (DVRO) at the California Department of Education (CDE), where he oversees data requests from education researchers and non-profits. Having served in this role for six years, he is knowledgeable about California’s administrative data, including data held by the CDE and California’s public higher education sectors, in particular data to inform state policy in the area of postsecondary readiness.  He is an experienced researcher with expertise in career trajectories. He received his PhD in Sociology from the University of California, Davis and previously served as Professor of Sociology at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
