Grace Shelton M.Ed, M.P.P is the Assistant Commissioner of Financial and Program Performance and Evaluation at the Tennessee Department of Education. She brings a deep expertise of the policy landscape in Tennessee and ways to make complicated data systems and structures accessible to all stakeholders. Prior to this role, she served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Commissioner of Education and the Chief of Staff for the Office of Strategy and Data. Grace is a former elementary school teacher with graduate degrees in both teaching and public policy analysis. She has continued to use her classroom experience as a primary lens through which to make meaningful decisions in the best interest of Tennessee students.
