Dan Farley is the Assistant Superintendent for the Office of Research, Assessment, Data, Accountability, and Reporting (RADAR) at the Oregon Department of Education, where he has worked since November of 2017. He has worked as a state and school administrator, Title 1 Assessment System Peer Reviewer, educational diagnostician, and public school teacher. Dan earned his PhD in quantitative research methods from the University of Oregon’s Educational Measurement, Policy, and Leadership department in March 2017. His work focuses on infusing data justice principles into the agency’s data collection, storage, and reporting procedures, as well as supporting Oregon districts in implementing anti-racist assessment practices that are continuous, comprehensive, and coherent.
