Director, Mesa County Workforce Center

Curtis Englehart is the current Director of the Mesa County Workforce Center (MCWFC). He has been in the workforce industry for over 8 years and has been the Director of the Mesa County Workforce Center for over 4 years. Curtis is a subject matter expert in labor market information and data trends. The MCWFC is a comprehensive one-stop shop that includes a wide variety of programs to ensure stability up through meaningful employment. Programs include: TANF, Child Care Assistance, Career Development, Employment and Professional Services, as well as GED prep and testing.

Curtis also spearheaded the Work Ready Community Initiative in Mesa County by becoming the first and currently the only Certified Work Ready Community in the state of Colorado. This allows Mesa County to objectively map its skilled workforce through the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) and provide that data to prospective and current employers. The NCRC is a nationally recognized, evidence based, work ready assessment.
Curtis received his Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado Mesa University. He is married to his wife Sara and they have two beautiful daughters: Ava (8) and Addley (6).
