Dr. Brook Meiller currently serves as the Deputy Superintendent of School Support & Improvement at the Oklahoma State Department of Education. In this role she provides vision for the support of comprehensive improvement plans for designated sites and districts across the state, and the creation of improvement resources for universal support. Beginning in 1986, Brook has been a classroom teacher, a district coordinator of language arts, an instructional coach, a professional development provider for the K20 Center at the University of Oklahoma, and most recently the Director of Literacy for Norman Public Schools. Brook is a 4th generation Oklahoma teacher following in the footsteps of her great-grandmother who taught in Oklahoma Territory. Brook lives in Norman with her husband Jim.
