The American Rescue Plan (ARP) has created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reinvent how governments deliver services and improve outcomes in their communities. Results for America is working to support decision makers in state and local governments to leverage ARP to build their own ability to use data and to shift toward evidence-based approaches. We designed the ARP Learning Community with input from municipalities across the country who have shared their ARP-related challenges and accomplishments. Our goal is that members leave these sessions with the resources, ideas, and support needed to invest ARP funds in ways that will build your data, evaluation, and community engagement capacity long-term and in evidence-based interventions that will drive toward equitable outcomes for residents.

FAQs About the Learning Community
What topics will members learn more about during Learning Community Sessions?
The Learning Community will be broadly structured around the Five Key Provisions with a learning block for each provision. Content will cover:
● General Implementation and Reporting
● Building Data and Evidence Capacities
● Engaging Your Community
● Focusing On Equity
● Implementing Evidence-Based Interventions
● Evaluating Initiatives
Members should expect a facilitated dialogue around the topics they’ve identified as most timely and relevant, presentations from their peers, and Q&A sessions with experts in the field.
Who from our team should participate in the Learning Community?
This Learning Community is designed to support any staff member at a City, County, or State that has oversight of allocating, planning, reporting on ARP funding and/or leading ARP-funded initiatives within their jurisdiction.
How much individual support will members get?
Members will be able to check in individually 2-3 times per year with the RFA Local Practice team for light coaching and support.
What is the time commitment expected of members?
For at least the next twelve months, Learning Community members will be expected to attend one 60 to 90 minute meeting each month. There will also be at least two individual check-in meetings with Results for America staff during the year. They will have the opportunity to participate in additional ARP Workshops and sessions but will not be required or expected to attend.
What other expectations do you have of members?
Members are expected to engage with their peers and actively participate in the sessions. They will be asked to present their own best practices or examples of what’s worked in ARP allocations at least once during the year.
How many municipalities will be accepted into the Learning Community?
The first group will be up to nine members with the goal of adding nine more communities over time.
