On May 9-11, 2018, Results for America’s Local Government Fellows convened in New York City to learn from local government and nonprofit experts on efficient and effective operations, performance management, integrated data systems, data analytics, and evaluating and scaling programs that work. The Fellows participated in facilitated workshops on strategies for building integrated data systems and engaging in active contract management. Additionally, Fellows visited the Borough of Manhattan Community College’s CUNY Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), an evidence-based intervention that assists students in earning associates degrees by providing them with financial, academic and personal support. The Fellows celebrated accomplishments, shared challenges, and provided constructive feedback with a community of peers, including through a panel event hosted at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
