Seana Flanagan, Director of the Educator Growth and Development Bureau, leads a small but mighty team that manages, implements and supports NMTEACH, our statewide educator effectiveness system, as well as managing the Title II Part A federal grant application and allocation systems. Her breadth and depth of experience spans the entire Education Quality Division as she has served as the Director of the Professional Licensure Bureau and the Assistant Director of Educator Quality. Prior to her work with the New Mexico Public Education Department, Seana spent over 20 years working the private sector as a retail leader and trainer in the IT and other sectors. Seana is a certified observer of classroom teaching with the NMTEACH framework.
