Nazanin (Nazie) Mohajeri-Nelson is the director of the ESEA Programs Office at the Colorado Department of Education’s Unit of Federal Programs Administration. In 2006, she earned her Philosophy of Doctorate degree from the Colorado State University in Applied Social Psychology with an emphasis in lifespan development and program evaluation. She received her NIMH-funded postdoctoral Research training at the University of Minnesota, Institute of Child Development, where her focus was on evaluating the effectiveness of school-based interventions. Currently she oversees the office responsible for the administration of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and all formula and competitive grants under ESSA.
