At the Texas Education Agency, Megha Kansra leads the Department of District Planning & Supports, which builds capacity in and provides systemic supports to district leaders across hundreds of Texas LEAs, focused on instructional leadership, research-based improvement of curriculum and instruction, strategic planning and continuous improvement, and streamlined access to high impact TEA technical assistance and funds. Previously, at Summit Public Schools, Megha led initiatives focused on multi-tiered systems of support, continuous improvement with a focus on diverse learners, and research and development of Summit’s innovative project-based, self-directed model. Megha also brings experience from philanthropy and as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group; she holds a Masters in Education Leadership from the Broad Residency and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. As an immigrant and product of Texas public schools herself, Megha is motivated by a desire to ensure that every Texas student has a high quality, supportive learning experience.
