Lisa Medler is currently the Executive Director of the Accountability and Continuous Improvement Unit at the Colorado Department of Education. This includes overseeing the Accountability Analytics Office, the School Improvement and Planning Office and the Family School Partnerships Office. Starting with a career in social work, Lisa has put those skills to work in the field of education. Her work has ranged from providing direct services to children and families to grants administration (e.g., Reading First, Title I and II) to research and evaluation (e.g., education reform in Title I schools) to supporting school and district staff through improvement efforts.
