Liberty is the Administrator of the Data Access and Strategy Office with the California Department of Education (CDE) overseeing internal data requests, federal EDFacts reporting, coordination of the CDE’s Cradle-to-Career data system work, and the Department’s Data Liaisons. Liberty previously served as the Foster Youth Data Liaison between state agencies, county offices of education, school districts, and departments within the CDE. Prior to working at the Department, Liberty held a variety of roles at both the district and county office of education levels focusing on research, evaluation, and educational data systems. Liberty has a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of California, Davis and several years of experience teaching English to speakers of other languages.
