President, Workforce Mid-South, Inc. and Executive Director, Greater Memphis Local Workforce Development Board

Kyla Guyette serves as the founding President of Workforce Mid-South, Inc. and as the Executive Director of the Greater Memphis Local Workforce Development Board. In either role, she oversees workforce development funding and initiatives in the four county area of Shelby, Fayette, Tipton and Lauderdale Counties of Western Tennessee. With the formation of Workforce Mid-South, Inc., Ms. Guyette is charged with sphere heading a revitalization of workforce development in the mid-south bridging public and private initiatives for a robust new vision for the region. She brings over 15 years of experience in workforce programming with a specialization in serving multi-barrier individuals and young adults. Nationally, she is recognized as a subject matter expert in programs to address the specific challenges of workforce engagement for opportunity youth and non-traditional service delivery models within workforce agencies. Ms. Guyette is a member of the US Conference of Mayors Workforce Development Council, National Association of Workforce Boards the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals and has served as a panelist and presenter at conferences across the country. She is also the host of a regional workforce focused podcast, Mid-South @ Work.
Ms. Guyette is an alumna of the University of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Law. Born in New Orleans, LA, she relocated to Memphis in April 2019 from Orlando, FL where she served as a Regional Director for the largest private workforce development firm in the nation. Prior roles have included the administration of WIOA, TANF, SNAP and NEG funded programs across ten states with consultation nationwide. She is married and is the mother to a three year old son, Adam.
