Assistant to the City Manager and Chief of Staff, Dallas, TX
Genesis currently serves as the Assistant to the City Manager and Chief of Staff for the City of Dallas where she works closely with the executive team to advance the City’s strategic priorities. Genesis has served as lead in the organization’s interdepartmental and collaborative projects, most recently the work of organizational change management teams to develop action plans that focus on key initiatives as it pertains to fiscal sustainability, human and social needs, community vitality, and government performance. Prior to Dallas, she served as Systems Analyst for the City of Tacoma’s Neighborhood and Community Services and worked on the development and implementation of a systems-approach to addressing homelessness to include outcome-based evaluations for service providers. Genesis has also assisted executive leadership with the acquisition of property for the development of a youth and young drop-in center and adult emergency shelter, successfully led the development of Tacoma’s first Faith-Based Emergency Shelter Program, Community Needs Assessment and the Citywide Ten-Year Vision and Strategic Plan: Tacoma2025.
