Senior Manager, Certification, What Works Cities

Dan is the Senior Manager, Certification for the What Works Cities Initiative (Latin America). Previously, he was the program manager at the delivery unit for the Bloomberg Mayors Challenge in Latin America and worked at ideas42’s Latin America portfolio, where he advanced financial inclusion and local government effectiveness across the region. He has also worked as an M&E, social impact, and co-design consultant for international development initiatives in education, civic engagement, and environmental protection.

Dan has served in the secretariat of Chile’s government innovation for development advisory council and has been a researcher at a public policy think-tank devoted to improving economic mobility and social cohesion in Latin America. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chile and a Master’s in Public Administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
