Results for America and the American Public Human Services Association hosted a webinar entitled, “Improving State and Local Human Services Contracting and Outcomes” on February 12, 2019, to explore how state and local governments can improve their human services procurement processes to get better outcomes for their residents. The webinar provides a framework for understanding the practices necessary to move state and local government agencies and human services providers from compliance-focused to outcomes-focused contracting.
The webinar features government leaders and national experts including King County (WA) Chief of Policy Carrie S. Cihak; Associate Director of Rhode Island’s Department of Children, Youth, and Families Deb Buffi; Jed Herrmann from Results for America; and Christina Becker from the American Public Human Services Association.
The webinar is based on Results for America’s What Works Toolkit, which includes five detailed recommendations as well as specific tools, templates, and examples of leading practices for practitioners to adopt.
