Elizabeth Mitchell is the Director of Performance & Accountability for Mayor McAdams, after joining Mayor McAdams’ team at Salt Lake County as a Senior Policy Advisor in January 2015. In this role, Elizabeth focuses primarily on the areas of data, innovation and performance where she spearheaded the Mayor’s MetroStat performance management program, in addition to planning, implementing and tracking critical projects and partnerships associated with the Mayor’s Innovation Agenda. Prior to her service with Mayor McAdams, Elizabeth was Director of Public Affairs at Empire State Development, New York State’s economic development agency. Earlier in her career, she managed communications and marketing at a non-profit serving New York City public school students. Elizabeth has a B.A. in English and Art History from Bucknell University and an M.A. in Journalism from Syracuse University.
