What Works Bootcamp: Helping Governors Use Data and Evidence to Improve Outcomes

On August 15, 2019, Results for America and the National Governors Association hosted a full-day training session for senior gubernatorial staff from select states to learn more about how they can build their capacity to use data and evidence to improve outcomes for their states’ residents. 

Based on the 2018 Invest in What Works State Standard of Excellence, the Bootcamp provided a landscape overview of how states are currently using data and evidence to get better results, featured peer learning sessions on high performing initiatives in other state governments, and provided senior gubernatorial staff with additional tools and strategies they can use to make their own government more effective and efficient.
