Fighting Injustice

Like you, we are mourning the recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. Tragically, we know that they are three in a long list of Black people who have died as a consequence of racist systems that continue to take lives and perpetuate inequality and injustice.

At Results for America, we acknowledge that as an organization we must do better and more to end the systemic, structural racism that our Black friends, family members, colleagues, and neighbors face every day. How we will do that will evolve, but here is Results for America’s full statement and our commitment to take action:

We are inspired by the many community-based groups and evidence-driven organizations – including Campaign Zero, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the Equal Justice Initiative – that are pursuing solutions to reduce police violence and reform our legal system. You can find more resources and leading groups here.

President Obama wrote recently, “If, going forward, we can channel our justifiable anger into peaceful, sustained, and effective action, then this moment can be a real turning point in our nation’s long journey to live up to our highest ideals.”

Results for America’s team is ready to accelerate governments’ important role in this turning point toward justice, equity and opportunity.
